Logistics and transport processes are an important lever for reducing our environmental footprint. It can already make a big difference if we reorganize transport routes and use new technologies.
SMART LOADINGS AND TRANSPORTS
We joined the supply chain software in 2021 to ensure efficient logistics. This helps us to identify environmentally friendly transport routes and to maximize the capacity utilization of deliveries. It suggests economical packing methods and ensures optimal loading. We achieve an ideal transport volume by combining rental materials. All this eliminates unnecessary transportation and reduces CO₂ emissions.
GLOBALLY DISTRIBUTED WAREHOUSE SPACE
Especially in the touring sector, it is important to perform in the most environment-friendly way possible. We can effectively support tour operators in this. We are represented with optimally distributed warehouse space at 20 locations on 5 continents. This also allows us to shorten transport distances and exploit the potential for sustainability throughout the entire logistics chain. We also want to reduce transport-related environmental impacts even further by switching to e-mobility.
